Late for Court Leads to Arrest

On November 4, 2025, a female subject arrived late for a scheduled court appearance in Maries County. The individual was subsequently taken into custody on an active warrant for False Impersonation and Shoplifting.
During the booking process at the Maries County Jail, staff located 31 capsules of suspected fentanyl in the subject's personal belongings. During the standard clothing exchange procedure, an additional 5 capsules of suspected fentanyl were found concealed on her person.
A probable cause statement was submitted requesting charges for:
Delivery or Concealment of Narcotics or Prohibited Articles in a Correctional Facility, and Trafficking Drugs in the First Degree
On this date, Maries County Associate Judge Kerry Rowden issued a no-bond warrant for: Delivery or Possession of a Controlled Substance into a Correctional Facility (Class D Felony), and Trafficking Drugs or Attempt to Traffic Drugs in the First Degree (Class A Felony)
The charges listed are based on probable cause. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
